  Just because you are paranoid that does not mean that they are not out to get you, and nowhere does this hold truer than in Salem's open world PvP environment. When you have learned the skills for it, no area except the starting areas are off-limits for Player versus Player combat, except by means of defenses players themselves may construct. Progress far enough and it is even possible to kill other characters permanently.
• Sandbox MMO
  Play online with friends and scores of other players as you explore Salem's procedurally generated, mutable, never-changing and ever-changing world. Outside of the central starting areas -- where you can trade, chat, and freely enjoy social aspects of the game -- the entire game world is free for the taking, and entirely player controlled.   Intricate character development systems based on the Humour theory of the ancients and other items of learning contemporary to the setting are the alphas and omegas of Salem's gameplay.
